Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Norma’s Notes
  • I struggled for a long time to find a really good chocolate chip cookie recipe.
  • My daughter graciously gave up her chocolate chip cookie recipe to me.
  • These cookies are soft and chewy.
  • They freeze well and are great to have on hand when the grandkids come to visit.
  • Don’t overbake them, they will set once they are taken out of the oven and left to cool on the cookie sheet.
  • Turn on the oven and get a glass of cold milk ready.
Ingredients
1/2 cup softened butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup milk chocolate chips

Directions
  1. Beat together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar.
  2. Add in vanilla and beaten egg.
  3. Blend for 15 seconds until mixture is just combined.
  4. Add flour, baking soda and salt.
  5. Mix together and then blend in chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop onto cookie sheet using a cookie scoop.
  7. Bake at 350° for nine minutes, let cool in pan before removing.
Makes 18 cookies.
