Norma’s Notes
- I struggled for a long time to find a really good chocolate chip cookie recipe.
- My daughter graciously gave up her chocolate chip cookie recipe to me.
- These cookies are soft and chewy.
- They freeze well and are great to have on hand when the grandkids come to visit.
- Don’t overbake them, they will set once they are taken out of the oven and left to cool on the cookie sheet.
- Turn on the oven and get a glass of cold milk ready.
Ingredients
1/2 cup softened butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
Directions
- Beat together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar.
- Add in vanilla and beaten egg.
- Blend for 15 seconds until mixture is just combined.
- Add flour, baking soda and salt.
- Mix together and then blend in chocolate chips.
- Scoop onto cookie sheet using a cookie scoop.
- Bake at 350° for nine minutes, let cool in pan before removing.
Makes 18 cookies.
